BRITISH-DESIGNED · ALL-SOLID ACOUSTICS · INDONESIAN WORKSHOP · PATRICK JAMES EGGLE
Faith
Faith Guitars began in 2002 around a deliberately specific idea: make affordable acoustic guitars from all-solid tonewoods. The brand is British-designed, works with a dedicated Indonesian workshop and has long-running technical input from luthier Patrick James Eggle. Model shape and series determine where a Faith sits in the range.

OVERVIEW
What to know quickly
Faith’s “all-solid” claim is structural, not a finish label. The brand’s core identity is built around solid tops, backs and sides, so it should not be compared casually with a similarly priced solid-top/laminated-back instrument.
IDENTIFY YOUR GUITAR
Which Faith do you have?
Faith model codes often encode body shape, series and electronics. Start with the printed model/SKU and then identify both the body family—Venus, Neptune, Saturn, Mercury, etc.—and the finish/series.
- Identify the body shape. Venus is auditorium cutaway; Saturn is dreadnought; Mercury is parlour; Neptune is baby jumbo.
- Identify the series. Naked, Nexus, Natural, Blood Moon, Blue Moon, HiGloss and PJE Legacy carry different materials and prices.
- Confirm electronics. Fishman systems vary across the range and are relevant to replacement cost.
- Use current/archived status. Faith maintains a discontinued-guitar archive for models no longer made from 2026 onward.
SERIES & MARKET POSITION
All-solid construction across a broad acoustic ladder
UK guide prices are current October 2026 references from Faith’s own site. Regional dealer prices, taxes and exchange rates will differ.
USED VALUE GUIDE
Start with the exact model
Faith’s used market rewards exact series recognition. A clean Naked model and a PJE Legacy can look related in photographs but do not belong in the same value bracket.
- Verify all-solid construction has not been misdescribed by a seller.
- Check the bridge, neck angle and top for humidity-related movement.
- Test Fishman electronics and tuner functions.
- Confirm that included hardcase/gigbag matches the model’s original package where relevant.
CURRENT USED MARKET
See what the market is doing now
Use Faith plus the body and series name. “Faith guitar” alone is broad; “Faith Naked Venus FKV” is much better.
COMPARE
What else lives in this neighborhood?
Faith commonly overlaps upper Alvarez, Eastman, Furch entry tiers, higher Tanglewood, selected Larrivée and other all-solid acoustics. Match construction and body shape before price.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Before you buy—or price—one
- Do not reduce “British brand” to “made in Britain”; Faith states production is in a dedicated Indonesian workshop.
- Patrick James Eggle is a technical/design contributor; that does not make every Faith a handbuilt Patrick James Eggle boutique guitar.
- Archived 2026 models can still be common used.
- All-solid acoustics remain humidity-sensitive regardless of price.
HISTORY & COMMENTARY
A British all-solid idea built through an Indonesian workshop
Faith says the brand began in winter 2002 when a small British team set out to make affordable all-solid tonewood guitars. In 2005, Patrick James Eggle joined the effort and helped re-engineer key design elements, leading to the Series 2 instruments introduced in 2006. Today Faith continues to design in the UK and build through a dedicated Indonesian workshop.
WHAT PLAYERS LIKE
Why this brand earns a closer look
Faith is attractive to players who prioritize solid-wood acoustic construction and distinctive body/finish families without immediately moving into boutique-shop pricing.
